{"id":38881,"date":"2020-07-06T09:29:06","date_gmt":"2020-07-06T14:29:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=38881"},"modified":"2020-07-07T16:42:21","modified_gmt":"2020-07-07T21:42:21","slug":"mayor-of-san-jose-de-miranda-santander-and-two-other-people-charged-for-alleged-irregularities-in-the-contract-on-health-emergency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2020\/07\/06\/mayor-of-san-jose-de-miranda-santander-and-two-other-people-charged-for-alleged-irregularities-in-the-contract-on-health-emergency\/","title":{"rendered":"Mayor of San Jos\u00e9 de Miranda (Santander) and two other people charged for alleged irregularities in the contract on health emergency"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"en-US\">As part of its strategy &#8220;Transparency for the emergency&#8221;, the Office of the Attorney General charged Mayor of San Jos\u00e9 de Miranda (Santander), Donaldo Ortiz C\u00e1rdenas with the execution of a contract without complying with legal requirements and embezzlement in a consistence sequence of serial crimes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Likewise, the Office of the Attorney charged M\u00f3nica Alejandra Corzo Rey, head of the Office of government and social development (Oficina de Gobierno y Desarrollo Social); and Lucy Amparo B\u00e1ez Su\u00e1rez, legal representative of the foundation (Fundaci\u00f3n de Proyectos Sociales y Econ\u00f3micos\u00a0(Prococec)), a contracting company.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The investigation is related to the alleged irregularities in the trade contract N CD 038-2020, which had as its objective \u201cto acquire humanitarian aid and\u00a0purchase a Covid-19 prevention kit\u201d for the population of the municipality of San Jos\u00e9 de Miranda due to the national emergency generated by the Coronavirus pandemic \u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In the process, the investigators found inconsistencies in the execution of the contract, as well as possible extra charges in the purchase of the products that amounted to 89 million.
