The Office of the Attorney General calls on citizens to denounce"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The Office of the Attorney General, during this time of preventive and mandatory isolation, has prioritized crimes such as murders and all kinds of actions against girls, boys, and teenagers. This year, there have been three cases in which parents were the aggressors and caused the death of their children. All were brought before the court.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The most recent case took place in Bogot\u00e1. At the request of a Prosecutor belonging to Unit named\u00a0<i>Unidad de Vida<\/i>\u00a0of the Sectional Office in Bogot\u00e1, a woman, the victim&#8217;s mother, and her sentimental partner were sent to prison. They are the alleged perpetrators of the murder of her four-year-old son.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">According to the investigation, the minor was taken without vital signs to a center for medical assistance\u00a0<i>Centro de Atencion Medica Inmediata-CAMI<\/i>\u00a0located in neighborhood Patio Bonito by his mother and stepfather on June 3. The medical report indicated that the minor had injuries and burns in 80 percent of his body.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">According to the National Institute of Legal Medicine and the Colombia\u2019s Child Protective Services (Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar), the minor died because of acute and chronic child abuse.
