He is accused of participating in the murder of the human rights defender, Luis Alcides Tarazona Salamanca on November 8, 2019, in the village Miramontes in Tib\u00fa (Norte de Santander) and the attempted murder of his sentimental partner.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Alias \u200b\u200bGalillo would be part of the criminal organization\u00a0<i>Los Pelusos<\/i>\u00a0that was allegedly responsible for crimes that took place in several municipalities and rural settlements of the Department of Norte de Santander. According to the evidence, this organization ordered and committed the murder of Tarazona Salamanca who served as Secretary in the cooperation of traditional miners (Cooperaci\u00f3n de Mineros Artesanales de Tib\u00fa) in Norte de Santander, coordinator of the peasant association in Catatumbo (Asociaci\u00f3n Campesina del Catatumbo), tax adviser of the social action committee in a rural settlement known as Miramontes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">A prosecutor from the Special Investigation Unit charged Yacid Dur\u00e1n Claro with aggravated murder; manufacturing, trafficking, possession of firearms and ammunition; attempted murder, and aggravated criminal conspiracy for the purpose of extorting, forced displacement, and drug trafficking.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">This person was arrested in a joint operation between the Office of the Attorney General, the National Police and the Army, in the sector named Villa de San Diego, in the municipality Los Patios (Norte de Santander).<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yacid Dur\u00e1n Claro, alias Galillo, was brought before a supervisory judge in C\u00facuta at the request of the Office of the Attorney General.
