The defendant was charged with aggravated murder with attempt and manufacturing, trafficking, and possessing firearms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">In another hearing related to the same events, Geiner Jos\u00e9 Mej\u00edas Valladares was sentenced for the offenses of aggravated murder with attempt and manufacturing trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition. This Venezuelan citizen must serve 109 months (9 years and 1 month) in prison, as the material co-author of the attack.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span lang=\"en-US\">Judgment rendered in Cauca<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The Second Criminal Court of the Special Circuit of Popay\u00e1n (Cauca) sentenced Gustavo Adolfo Pecupawue Quiguapumbo, a member of the residual group \u2018Dagoberto Ramos\u2019, to 7 years and 2 months in prison, for aggravated criminal conspiracy to commit murder.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">This is the sixth sentence related to the crime committed against the reinserted former combatant\u00a0\u00a0Mauricio Casta\u00f1eda Restrepo which took place on October 15, 2018, in Corinto (Cauca).<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The coordination and accompaniment of the Special Unit on Investigations (UEI), and the creation of specialized teams of prosecutors, analysts and investigators of the CTI and Sijin (National Police) allowed the Office of the Attorney General to obtain conclusive evidence to clarify four criminal actions committed against people in the process of reincorporation.
