{"id":38774,"date":"2020-05-20T11:05:57","date_gmt":"2020-05-20T16:05:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=38774"},"modified":"2020-05-22T16:14:51","modified_gmt":"2020-05-22T21:14:51","slug":"man-sentenced-to-45-years-in-prison-for-femicide-against-two-undergraduates-in-santander","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2020\/05\/20\/man-sentenced-to-45-years-in-prison-for-femicide-against-two-undergraduates-in-santander\/","title":{"rendered":"Man sentenced to 45 years in prison for femicide against two undergraduates in Santander"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Argemiro Alberto Urrego Carmona was sentenced to 45 years and 2 months in prison by a judge hearing the case in Bucaramanga (Santander) by virtue of a plea bargain in which the defendant admitted his responsibility for the offense of aggravated femicide of two undergraduates, 21 and 22 years, respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">After three months of investigations, the Office of the Attorney General collected conclusive information to prove that the 27-year-old man perpetrated the double crime that took place on February 7th at the victims&#8217; student residence located in neighborhood <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>La Universidad<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0in Bucaramanga.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The evidence revealed that Urrego Carmona lived in Bogot\u00e1 and went to Santander to spend the weekend with one of the young women, with whom he had a romantic relationship. The couple and the other girl were spending time in a commercial establishment; however, the couple had a fight during the night, therefore, all of them returned to the university residence.
