He was arrested on April 30 by Gaula-National Police in coordination with the Navy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">According to the investigation carried out by the Office of the Attorney General, the defendant and two other people, as alleged members of the criminal structure\u00a0<i>the Guerrillas Unidas del Pac\u00edfico<\/i>, participated in various extortions of merchants in the port of Tumaco (Nari\u00f1o) between 2014 and 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The events took place on September 30, 2017 when they allegedly demanded $15,000,000 of a merchant to avoid attacks against his life and his family.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The Office of the Attorney General has evidence that proves that alias Segurito or Papel\u00f3n was part of several illegal groups such as:\u00a0\u00a0the FARC&#8217;s\u00a0<i>Daniel Aldana Mobile Column<\/i>, under the command of alias Tigre;\u00a0<i>La Gente del Orden<\/i>\u00a0\u00a0and currently\u00a0\u00a0<i>Guerrillas Unidas del Pacifico<\/i>, a group that operates in Panama and Buenos Aires neighborhoods in Tumaco.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Office of the Attorney General began a legal process against Yair Castillo Castillo Paredes, alias Papel\u00f3n or Segurito, for being the alleged author of extortions.
