He is an alleged leader of &#8216;Clan del Golfo&#8217; who would be responsible for the most recent armed confrontations with other groups to control drug trafficking routes and illegal mining activities in Urab\u00e1.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The defendant was charged by a prosecutor from the Special Directorate against Criminal Organizations with aggravated criminal conspiracy and illegal manufacturing, trafficking, possession of firearms, parts, or ammunition. He did not plead guilty to the charges.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">As ordered by a Municipal Criminal Judge of Antioquia*, alias D\u00e1vinson must serve a custodial measure in prison\u00a0<i>Las Mercedes<\/i>\u00a0in Monter\u00eda (C\u00f3rdoba). The Office of the Attorney General requested to examine the medical conditions of the aforementioned leader and to ensure optimal health conditions in the place of detention before transferring the defendant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The evidence gathered showed that Aureliano P\u00e9rez Caballero began his criminal activities 15 years ago and recently, he was head of\u00a0\u00a0a\u00a0 substructure of Clan del Golfo\u00a0 named\u00a0<i>Jorge Iv\u00e1n Arboleda Garc\u00e9s\u00a0<\/i>in which he would have become the main supporter of the territorial dispute between the ELN and the Organized Crime Group (<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Grupo Delincuencial Organizado\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">GDO in Spanish) known as\u00a0<i>Los Libertadores del Nordeste.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">*<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0In this case this court also has an additional function which is called in Spanish \u201cambulante\u201d which means a judge\/court who travels or moves throughout places\/cities when needed.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Office of the Attorney General brought Aureliano P\u00e9rez Caballero, alias D\u00e1vinson before justice.
