{"id":38682,"date":"2020-04-15T16:54:32","date_gmt":"2020-04-15T21:54:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=38682"},"modified":"2020-04-16T17:58:05","modified_gmt":"2020-04-16T22:58:05","slug":"office-of-the-attorney-general-supports-decree-on-the-release-of-inmates-to-control-the-spread-of-coronavirus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2020\/04\/15\/office-of-the-attorney-general-supports-decree-on-the-release-of-inmates-to-control-the-spread-of-coronavirus\/","title":{"rendered":"Office of the Attorney General supports decree on the release of inmates to control the spread of coronavirus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"en-US\">1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">The Office of the Attorney General supports the effort of the National Government to face the crisis derived from the effects of the coronavirus and, in this sense, it endorses the issuance of Decree 546 of April 14, 2020 which allows the release of inmates that were taken into account in the emergency regulation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">2.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> From the moment that the document signed by the President and his ministers was made public today, the Attorney General and his staff began to create a plan to implement the emergency legislative decree within the framework of the legal and constitutional powers of the entity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">For the Office of the Attorney General, as head of the country&#8217;s Criminal Policy, it was of vital importance that a guarantee for inmates was taken into consideration in the decree 546 of April 14, 2020.
