As a result of this attempt 23 inmates were killed and 83 were injured.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Concerning the 23 inmates who died, the Office of the Attorney General appointed a prosecutor specialized in human rights to determine responsibility for these events. His work has been guided by the Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa Delgado and the Deputy Attorney, Martha Mancera.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Regarding the autopsies and the legal identification of the 23 corpses, the National Institute of Legal Medicine has implemented special protocols for these cases.
