{"id":38150,"date":"2019-10-02T17:27:51","date_gmt":"2019-10-02T17:27:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=38150"},"modified":"2019-10-07T16:15:44","modified_gmt":"2019-10-07T16:15:44","slug":"8-people-were-prosecuted-for-drug-trafficking-in-a-national-army-battalion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2019\/10\/02\/8-people-were-prosecuted-for-drug-trafficking-in-a-national-army-battalion\/","title":{"rendered":"8 people were prosecuted for drug trafficking in a National Army battalion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Among people arrested there are seven militaries in active duty and a civilian.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>At the request of the Office of the Attorney General, the 65 Municipal Criminal Court in Bogot\u00e1 issued a preventive detention order with imprisonment against five men, house arrest against another person and non-custodial sentences for other two individuals for the crimes of aggravated trafficking, manufacture or drug possession and criminal conspiracy.<\/p>\n<p>The case was known by a prosecutor of <strong>Reaction Unit (Unidad de Reacci\u00f3n Inmediata URI) <\/strong>in Kennedy who learned from a non-formal source about the existence of a criminal structure called <em>Sanidad<\/em> which sold narcotic substances inside a battalion of the National Army which is located in <em>Puente Aranda<\/em> in the city of Bogot\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p>On September 26, as a result of a judicial proceeding, professional soldiers Yostin Nicol\u00e1s Moreno Carrillo, Edwin Andr\u00e9s Urrea, Eduard David Pardo Hern\u00e1ndez, Wilder Alex\u00e1nder Zabala Lopera, Alex\u00e1nder Osorio Osorio, Luis Miguel Pe\u00f1a Mogrovejo and the corporal Jos\u00e9 Gabriel de Alba Quiroz, as well as the civilian Andr\u00e9s Felipe Baquero D\u00edaz were arrested.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Among people arrested there are seven militaries in active duty and a civilian.
