The First Criminal Court of the Circuit of Quibd\u00f3 sentenced him to 17 years and 6 months in prison for the murder of communal leader Juan Mena Ortiz.<\/p>\n<p>On March 18, 2018, in neighborhood \u2018El Reposo\u2019 in the main city of Choc\u00f3, the victim was spending time with a friend in a commercial establishment when alias Mosquerita arrived at the scene and shot him at his chest. The communal leader tried to escape but the aggressor continued with the attack.\u00a0 Multiple wounds caused his death.<\/p>\n<p>According to the investigation carried out by a prosecutor of the so-called <em>Unidad de Vida<\/em> in Quibd\u00f3\u00a0 (Choc\u00f3), the attack occurred due to the fact that members of a criminal structure considered that Mena Ortiz had alliances with a criminal gang.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Given the force of the material evidence presented by the Office of the Attorney General, Jhon Freddy C\u00f3rdoba Chaverra, alias Mosquerita (23 year old) pled guilty to the charges that were brought in a hearing.
