Among the arrested people is the \u00a0son of former militiaman, Ram\u00f3n Isaza, one of the ringleaders of the so-called &#8216;La Oficina&#8217; and key element of the &#8216;Clan del Golfo&#8217; and &#8216;Los Pachenca&#8217; which are accused of transporting drugs to North America, Central America, Europe, Asia and Oceania<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The Office of the Attorney General and the National Police, with the support of the Drug Control Agency (DEA), detected a kind of criminal &#8216;cartel&#8217; integrated by members of drug trafficking organizations of the country which served as a bridge with the Italian mafia, the Mexican cartels and other structures, and guaranteed the departure of cocaine shipments to different international destinations.<\/p>\n<p>Investigations coordinated by the Directorate against Organized Crime of the Office of the Attorney General\u00a0 and the Directorate of Mounted Police (<em>Direcci\u00f3n de Carabineros y Seguridad Rural de la Polic\u00eda Nacional<\/em>) allowed to establish that the \u2018cartel\u2019 was integrated by\u00a0 \u2018Clan del Golfo\u2019, \u2018La Oficina\u2019, \u2018Los Pachenca\u2019 and \u2018Clan del Oriente\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently, through this coordinated drug trafficking activities they agreed drugs shipments\u00a0 to Costa Rica, Panama, Bahamas, Jamaica and Mexico where the drug was initially collected and after some negotiations, it was transported to the United States, Canada, Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Australia and several Asian countries.<\/p>\n<p>The whole network was dismantled and its 14 alleged members were arrested in an operation that was carried out in five main cities of the country (Bogot\u00e1, Medell\u00edn, Manizales, Valledupar and Santa Marta) and in some municipalities of the Departments of Antioquia, La Guajira, Bolivar and Boyac\u00e1.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>14 alleged members of a network were arrested by the Attorney General&#8217;s Office and the National Police with support of DEA pending extradition.
