Today, Attorney General N\u00e9stor Humberto Mart\u00ednez Neira, and his counterpart in El Salvador, Douglas Mel\u00e9ndez, signed a cooperation agreement at the so called Bunker (headquarters) to exchange information and experiences in the fight against transnational organized crime, drug trafficking, corruption, related and high impact crimes.<\/p>\n

This agreement arose from bilateral meetings and visits of a delegation from Office of the Attorney General of El Salvador to several national offices in Bogot\u00e1 in the last months.\u00a0 There, experiences concerning extradition, investigation and judgement on corruption, Asset Forfeiture (Extinci\u00f3n del Derecho de Dominio)1<\/sup>, money laundering, interception systems, functioning and structure of the judicial police and the so-called Centro Estrat\u00e9gico de Valoraci\u00f3n Probatoria<\/em> (Cevap) were shared.<\/p>\n

This agreement aims to strengthen institutions and the fight against criminal structures which are affecting health, security and well-being of both countries.<\/p>\n
