{"id":36658,"date":"2017-05-11T11:04:28","date_gmt":"2017-05-11T16:04:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=36658"},"modified":"2017-05-15T16:04:45","modified_gmt":"2017-05-15T21:04:45","slug":"attorney-general-welcomed-his-counterpart-from-el-salvador","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2017\/05\/11\/attorney-general-welcomed-his-counterpart-from-el-salvador\/","title":{"rendered":"Attorney General welcomed his counterpart from El Salvador"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A meeting will be held by Attorney General, N\u00e9stor Humberto Mart\u00ednez Neira, and his counterpart of El Salvador Douglas Mel\u00e9ndez Ru\u00edz this week at the so called \u201cBunker\u201d (headquarters in Bogot\u00e1) in order to address issues related to technical cooperation, prosecutions on corruption cases, Assets Forfeiture (Extinci\u00f3n del Derecho de Dominio)<sup>1<\/sup> and money laundering.<\/p>\n<p>During the visit, which is scheduled until May 12<sup>th<\/sup>, Attorney General Mel\u00e9ndez Ru\u00edz and delegates (heads and coordinators) of the Centro American country who handle these topics, have visited the main Offices of the Office of the Attorney General in Colombia to know firsthand, among other investigation strategies and mechanisms, the wiretapping systems, as well as how its judicial police work and visit the newly opened center <strong><em>Centro Estrat\u00e9gico de Valoraci\u00f3n Probatoria<\/em><\/strong> (Cevap in spanish).<\/p>\n<p>Attorney General of El Salvador recognized in a press conference the investigative characteristics of the Office of Attorney General in Colombia and highlighted the importance of signing an agreement on judicial cooperation between both States in order to fight against criminal gangs and drug trafficking.
