{"id":34135,"date":"2014-10-02T17:40:31","date_gmt":"2014-10-02T22:40:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=34135"},"modified":"2015-12-28T10:57:13","modified_gmt":"2015-12-28T15:57:13","slug":"transitional-justice-should-harmonize-right-to-justice-with-right-to-peace-said-attorney-general","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2014\/10\/02\/transitional-justice-should-harmonize-right-to-justice-with-right-to-peace-said-attorney-general\/","title":{"rendered":"Transitional justice should harmonize right to justice with right to peace: said Attorney General"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During\u00a0 the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Colombo German Forum \u201c<em>Reconciliation<\/em><em>, Responsibility and Memory, German Experiences and Colombian Perspectives\u201d<strong>*<\/strong><\/em><strong> <\/strong>\u00a0the Attorney General, Eduardo Montealegre Lynett, gave a talk about <em>Challenges<\/em><em> of Transitional Justice in Colombia<\/em>, where he stressed the importance of investigating, prosecuting \u00a0and penalizing in the \u00a0post-conflict framework, always\u00a0 seeking for a balance between justice and peace.<\/p>\n<p>The Attorney General considered the need to determine the legal and political scope of this international obligation by preventing the impunity of damages against human rights, against humanity and war crimes, under the criteria of selectivity.
