He also stated that this is part of the investigation conducted by the Attorney General Office regarding the illegal interceptions to politics carried out by some people.<\/p>\n<p>Baja\u00f1a will be prosecuted for the alleged commission of illegal access to a computer system, computer data interception, espionage and conspiracy. The arrest was carried out since there was a risk that the Ecuadorian citizen would escape and would not appear before the judges at the\u00a0 preliminary hearings.<\/p>\n<p>Quintana said that &#8220;Mr. Baja\u00f1a intercepted Francisco Santos emails as well as his\u00a0 secretary emails in order to have access to the former vice president email. He illegally obtained privileged intelligence information and disclosed privileged information\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In the coming hours, hearings will be held at\u00a0 Paloquemao Judicial Complex to legalize his detention, and bring charges against him.
