{"id":31549,"date":"2013-04-10T10:47:25","date_gmt":"2013-04-10T15:47:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=31549"},"modified":"2013-04-22T09:41:16","modified_gmt":"2013-04-22T14:41:16","slug":"members-of-the-army-were-ordered-to-be-held-in-pre-trial-detention-for-the-killing-of-a-protected-person","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2013\/04\/10\/members-of-the-army-were-ordered-to-be-held-in-pre-trial-detention-for-the-killing-of-a-protected-person\/","title":{"rendered":"Members of the army were ordered to be held in pre-trial detention for the killing of a protected person"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Prosecutor of the National Unit of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law issued an order to hold four army officers in pre-trial detention for killing a protected person.<\/p>\n<p>Colonel Antonio Jos\u00e9 Ussa Cabrera and the Major Francisco Yecid Villamil Mora, members of the national army, were affected with the decision as alleged co-conspirators of the murder of a protected person, conspiracy to commit crimes, forced disappearance, attempt homicide and procedural fraud.<\/p>\n<p>By the date of the incident, a similar order was issued against sergeants Celedonio Berdugo Murillo and Oscar Godoy Orozco as alleged co-conspirators of the murder of a protected person, conspiracy to commit crime and attempted murder.<\/p>\n<p>The facts have to do with a so-called armed combat which was occurred on November 28 \/ 2002 between Gaula units of the Army and alleged guerrillas on the road Macanillo \u2013 Las Palmas de Socorro, Santander.
