The National Unit for Seizure of Assets and Money Laundering belonging to the Attorney\u00b4s Office, in cooperation with Dijin from the Colombian\u00a0 National Police and the National Directorate of Narcotics DNE, seized\u00a0 a farm called \u201cla Chiquilina\u201d, where Erikson Vargas Cardona alias “Sebasti\u00e1n” was arrested. In addition,\u00a0 there were seized\u00a0 other 33 properties in his name, his brother\u00b4s name, Franklin Vargas Cardona, alias \u201cEl Flaco\u201d, leaders of the criminal net so-called Oficina de Envigado, and also to their\u00a0 family members who acted as front men.<\/p>\n
This seizure included urban and rural properties located in Medellin (Colombia) and in municipalities such as Bello and Itagui, 14 vehicles and motorcycles, 14 thousand dollars, 5 thousand euros and over 680 million pesos in cash, 97 exclusive jewelry, 1 company and 3\u00a0 stores.<\/p>\n
The properties confiscated by the Attorney\u00b4s Office exceed 8 thousand million pesos.<\/p>\n
According to the investigation, the assets were acquired by brothers Vargas Cardona throughout his criminal career.
