The General Prosecutor\u00b4s Office brought charges against the former Secretary of health of Bogot\u00e1, H\u00e9ctor Zambrano Rodr\u00edguez, for the offenses of\u00a0 embezzlement in favor of third parties, bribery, unlawful signing of contracts, and contract without compliance with the legal requirements. The procedure took place before Judge 67 in Bogot\u00e1.<\/p>\n
During the hearing, the Third Prosecutor, Delegate at the Supreme Court of Justice, said that Zambrano Rodr\u00edguez would have engaged in such conducts among the 22 of April of 2009 and the first half of the year 2010, when, in the course of his duties, he signed the contract 1229 with the company *Union Temporal de Transporte Ambulatorio de Bogot\u00e1 for 63 thousand 203 million pesos in which, supposedly, there was\u00a0 a benefit of 9 per cent.<\/p>\n
As it was established, the former Secretary received money from the contract which sought the obtaining of equipped ambulances to assist the capital population.\u00a0 Apparently, in such contract, there was an agreement between the former President of the Council of Bogota, Hip\u00f3lito Moreno Guti\u00e9rrez, and contractors Emilio Tapia and Julio G\u00f3mez.<\/p>\n
The Prosecutor in charge of the case, also said that Zambrano would have been defrauded the district administration with 17 thousand 500 million pesos, and that he possibly favored the Uni\u00f3n Temporal company without having the legal capacity to contract.\u00a0 During the accusation hearing, the former Secretary did not accept the charges.<\/p>\n
