{"id":21440,"date":"2012-11-22T09:33:17","date_gmt":"2012-11-22T14:33:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=21440"},"modified":"2012-11-26T15:15:28","modified_gmt":"2012-11-26T20:15:28","slug":"indictment-against-jose-vicente-castano","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2012\/11\/22\/indictment-against-jose-vicente-castano\/","title":{"rendered":"Indictment against Jos\u00e9 Vicente Casta\u00f1o"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Attorney General Office has handed down an indictment against Jos\u00e9 Vicente Casta\u00f1o, AUC Commander, for his alleged responsibility in an aggravated homicide.<\/p>\n<p>Such a decision was adopted by a Prosecutor assigned to the National Unit of Human Rights and IHL, who considered that Casta\u00f1o Gil was a material and improper accessory to the death of Fabio Ivan Tafur Caicedo, designated by his killers as alleged guerrilla militiaman.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the &#8220;Calima block&#8221; perpetrated the killing of Tafur Caicedo on August 27, 2000, when the victim was in a soda fountain in the municipality of Santander de Quilichao (Cauca).<\/p>\n<p>Responsible for this illegal armed structure were Evert Veloza Garc\u00eda, alias HH, and Elkin Casarrubia Posada, alias el Cura (the priest), who followed the guidelines drawn up by the accused.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Attorney General Office has handed down an indictment against Jos\u00e9 Vicente Casta\u00f1o, AUC Commander, for his alleged responsibility in an aggravated homicide.
