A Prosecutor assigned to the National Unit against Terrorism has issued an indictment against 11 individual that allegedly had links with the “Elmer C\u00e1rdenas\u201d block of the self-defense group AUC commanded by Fredy Rend\u00f3n Herrera, alias \u201cEl Alem\u00e1n\u201d.<\/p>\n
According to the investigation, the present accused were part of the so-called “Pact of Marizco”, Margen Izquierda de C\u00f3rdoba, whereby from 2002, the illegal armed group had political influence in Mo\u00f1itos, Canaletes and Los Cordobas, among other municipalities.<\/p>\n
In accordance with the decision taken by the judicial officer the defendants: Alfredo Fidalgo Arrieta L\u00f3pez, Bonifacio Contreras D\u00edaz and Pedro Jos\u00e9 Mart\u00ednez Hum\u00e1nez will respond to their alleged responsibility in court for aggravated conspiracy to commit crimes, in the category of promoting and financing illegal armed groups, and the aggravated murder of Sa\u00fal P\u00e9rez D\u00edaz committed on August 1st<\/sup>, 2003 in Los C\u00f3rdobas rural area, whose mayoralty he aspired.<\/p>\n Mart\u00ednez Hum\u00e1nez has accepted his responsibility for aggravated conspiracy to commit crimes, punishable by which the following people were also charged: Anaris Mu\u00f1oz Vera, Sa\u00fal Carreazo Silgado, Shirley Daisy Eljade Mercado, \u00d3scar Dar\u00edo \u00c1lvarez Dom\u00ednguez, Isa\u00edas Mart\u00ednez Castro, Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Martinez Bravo, Mario Jos\u00e9 Buend\u00eda V\u00e1squez and Jes\u00fas Gonz\u00e1lez Doria Noah.<\/p>\n In her ruling, the Examining Prosecutor has certified copies in order to investigate: Catalino Segura Moreno, Otoniel Segundo Hoyos and Jos\u00e9 Abel Benavides Murillo, nominated by \u201c\u00c9lmer C\u00e1rdenas’ block\u201d, to commit possibly the offense of perjury.<\/p>\n Finally, the judicial officer has precluded Juan Antonio Jabib Fl\u00f3rez\u2019s investigation for the murder of P\u00e9rez D\u00edaz. Jabib Fl\u00f3rez had recourse to plea bargaining for the offense of aggravated conspiracy to commit crimes.
