{"id":20948,"date":"2012-08-28T12:49:23","date_gmt":"2012-08-28T17:49:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=20948"},"modified":"2012-09-03T16:41:12","modified_gmt":"2012-09-03T21:41:12","slug":"farc-guerrilla-group-would-have-paid-over-a-billion-colombian-pesos-for-the-attack-against-former-minister-fernando-londono-hoyos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2012\/08\/28\/farc-guerrilla-group-would-have-paid-over-a-billion-colombian-pesos-for-the-attack-against-former-minister-fernando-londono-hoyos\/","title":{"rendered":"Farc guerrilla group would have paid over a billion Colombian Pesos for the attack against former Minister Fernando Londo\u00f1o Hoyos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[media url=&#8221;http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=aGTIPjDTvD4&amp;list=UU7bX69Qf2YKnHcKCA5kGKrw&amp;index=1&amp;feature=plcp&#8221; width=&#8221;512&#8243; height=&#8221;340&#8243; jwplayer=&#8221;controlbar=bottom&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Urban terrorists would have received over a billion Colombian Pesos for the attack against former Home Secretary, Mr. Fernando Londo\u00f1o Hoyos, last May 15, in the north of Bogot\u00e1, reported Mr. Eduardo Montealegre Lynett, the Colombia Attorney General.<\/p>\n<p>This affirmation was made by the senior official referring to the operation carried out between The Attorney General Office and The National Police which five individuals were arrested, including a minor who precisely was in charge to adhere the \u201clapa\u201d bomb on an armored motor vehicle where Mr. Londo\u00f1o Hoyos went in.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation carried out by means of evidences and analysis made by The Attorney General Office &#8211; CTI and National Police Investigators allowed to reach to the present results, since these five individuals, until now, have not expressed their intentions to cooperate with the authorities providing information about the activities of their groups.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Montealegre Lynett explained that the first hypothesis, handled by the accusing body, pointed out to members of the mobile group \u201cTeofilo Forero\u201d from Farc as intellectual responsible of the attack against Mr. Londo\u00f1o Hoyos where his driver and his bodyguard died, and 48 persons were wounded as well.<\/p>\n<p>Subversives would have come in contact with two \u201curban terrorist\u201d gangs from Cali and Bogot\u00e1 to carry out the attack.\u00a0 The Cali group traveled to the capital of the country, on April 22<sup>nd<\/sup> and was supported by his associates in Bogot\u00e1, as regard to accommodation, transportation and logistics, while Mr. Londo\u00f1o was followed by these last individuals in order to attack him.<\/p>\n<p>Facts that allow focusing the investigation achieved by the Attorney General Office against Farc are based on the Modus Operandi traditionally used by Guerrilla with \u201clapa\u201d bombs, the failed attempt against Mr. Londo\u00f1o years ago and the constant threats to him from the guerrilla leadership, and the use of criminal gangs to carry out attacks in the name of insurgency. \u201cThey used urban terrorists who are not Farc members. They are individuals outside of the organization\u201d, emphasized Mr. Montealegre Lynett.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, The Attorney General expressed that the arrest of the minor it was made official in the facility where he is detained for illegal possession of firearms.
