She received a Law Degree from Universidad de Nariño. She majored in Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law at Universidad Externado de Colombia. She received a master’s degree in Criminal Law from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
She has worked at the Office of the Attorney General for 13 years. She has worked at the Special Directorate against Organized Crime, she has been a prosecutor in the then Directorate of Analysis and Context, the Delegate Office on Public Safety and the Special Investigation Unit.
She has conducted investigations on affectations of indigenous communities, human rights defenders, and people in the process of reincorporation, with significant results in the clarification of violent events in Nariño, Antioquia, Cauca, Sur de Bolívar and Norte de Santander.
She was awarded the Enrique Low Murtra medal in recognition of her work.
