He has worked for six years at the Office of the Attorney where he has been appointed National Director to coordinate Special Economic and Financial Judicial Police Authorities, Director of School of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Sciences (in spanish Escuela de Estudios e Investigaciones Criminalísticas y Ciencias Forenses) and he also has held the position of Adviser of the Office of the Deputy Attorney General; leading the analysis report on rulings concerning violence against trade unionists which was presented by the National Government before the United States Congress.

He worked as legal adviser at the Metropolitan Police Command in Bogotá before joining the Attorney General’s Office. He was also a senior lawyer and external lawyer for private companies on technology and oil services matters.
