The evidence provided by a prosecutor appointed to the Sectional Office in Bolívar allowed a judge in Cartagena to sentence Kevin Kenett Hoyos Torres to 33 years and 3 months in prison, after his responsibility as co-author in the crime of aggravated homicide was proven.
The investigation revealed that on October 20, 2019, the victim, 24; and his sister were riding on a motorcycle through Torices neighborhood in Cartagena, where Hoyos Torres and another man threw a blunt object, causing their fall.
Once they were on the ground, Hoyos Torres’ partner injured the victim with a sharp weapon who died the next day in a medical center.
Investigative work showed that the crime was committed in revenge for the past disagreements between the aggressor and the victim. The judge ordered the arrest of the convicted person to serve a prison sentence.
